Primary – Sodalite
I have chosen sodalite as the primary gemstone for Sagittarius to encourage positive expression of the Sagittarius characteristics. Sodalite encourages truthfulness and open communication but with thought for the recipient’s reaction. This is very important for Sagittarius as they can be very tactless when being outspoken and can enjoy shocking others. Sodalite provides energy, insight, intuition, idealism, and promotes logical thought and mental clarity. It calms an overactive mind and brings inner peace. Sagittarius is about expansion of mind, body and spirit and sodalite enables the journey of the soul and spiritual growth. It is also said to provide psychic protection and as it stimulates endurance, it is the stone of athletes.
Secondary – Howlite
Howlite is very useful for Sagittarius as it is a calming gemstone that encourages tact when dealing with others (Sagittarius is well known for speaking before thinking!). Howlite also helps you to feel comfortable in social situations. It can assist in learning from past lives and is helpful when astral travelling. Howlite promotes patience and releases anxiety, anger or stress. It can help with observation, reasoning, memory and knowledge. As Howlite is useful as a guide to spiritual wisdom it works well for Sagittarius as this sign is continually expanding mind, body and spirit.
Opposite – Agate
Agate stimulates concentration and helps with precision and analytical ability. It is good for those working with computers or finance and provides balanced thought processes. For Sagittarius it helps them to concentrate on detail as they are very good at seeing just the bigger picture whilst ignoring the details. Agate gives good protection from stress and energy drains as well as helping to combat bad dreams. Agate promotes optimism, self confidence, good luck, persuasiveness, agreeability, spiritual growth and truthfulness. Sagittarius is very honest and keen on only speaking the truth so agate is a good stone to encourage this.
