Biography
Lady Diana Frances Spencer was born on 1st July 1961 at Sandringham, Norfolk, England.

She had two sisters and two brothers (one brother died at birth). Diana was 6 when her parents divorced and her father gained custody of the children. Her mother re-married when she was 8. Her father re-married when she was 17.

As a child Diana had wanted to become a ballet dancer but she grew too tall. Diana did not excel academically at school and left with no qualifications. However, she became an accomplished pianist. She loved children and started work as a children's nanny.

On 29th July 1981 Diana married Prince Charles. He was 13 years her senior. Diana became the Princess of Wales upon her marriage and the Royal couple honeymooned on the royal yacht, Britannia. Prince William was born a month before their first wedding anniversary.

Diana would not leave Prince William at home when the couple went on their tour of Australia although it was usual for royal couples to do this. Diana became very popular and overcame her early shyness to shake hands with people and accept flowers.

Diana gave birth to a second son, Prince Harry, in 1984. Charles was disappointed the baby was another boy and had red hair. It is thought that this was when their marriage began to break down and it was soon after this that they no longer lived as man and wife.

Diana grew in confidence and being tall, slender and beautiful she was very photogenic. She quickly became the most photographed woman in the world and her popularity soared. As well as being beautiful she was a natural humanitarian and raised public awareness about AIDS and the horrific injuries caused by landmines.

Prince Charles was seeing his old flame Camilla and once Diana found out she started to have affairs of her own. In December 1992 the couple separated and divorced in August 1996. After the divorce Diana resigned from many of her charities to scale down her public life.

Mohammed Al Fayed was an old family friend and during the summer of 1997 she took her sons abroad for a holiday as his guest. Photographers were given plenty to photograph as Diana appeared each day in a different swimming costume. Diana returned to the yacht a few weeks later and spent time in the company of Al Fayed's son Dodi. The couple were much photographed together.

To avoid photographers at the front entrance of their hotel in Paris Dodi asked the hotel driver to meet them at the back of the hotel. He drove fast to avoid the photographers and crashed the car in a tunnel killing himself and Dodi. Diana and the bodyguard were seriously injured. Diana was still alive when she was transported to a hospital in Paris but unfortunately her injuries were too severe and she died on 31st August 1997. Diana's body was buried in a private family ceremony in the grounds of Althorp House.

Astrology - Diana wrote a letter indicating that she knew she would die in a car accident. She had an astrologer so would be aware of the influences in her chart that point to this possibility. However, influences are not the same as events and her death was not predicted in her chart, although an accident of some sort looked likely.

The Ascendant or rising sign (your appearance, how you are seen) is in Sagittarius and this often gives a ‘leggy’ appearance (Diana was well known for her shapely legs). With this position binge eating or drinking and depression are possible if life offers no challenge or becomes static. Diana did suffer from bulimia and depression.

The Sun (your personality, how you experience life, your essential energy) & Mercury (your mind, intellect, communication, learning, mischief and criminal activities) are both in Cancer in the 7th house showing that Diana was home-loving and her whole being was designed to be in a loving relationship.

The Moon (your instinctive natural reaction, moods, habits and your mother) is in Aquarius (the same as Marilyn Monroe) showing unusual and unpredictable reactions and eccentricity when dealing with everyday problems. This position of the Moon also indicates the mother being detached or not around.

Venus (your relationships, love, affection, harmony and sociability) is in Taurus in the 5th house indicating that Diana loved being in love and having children was very important to her in making the relationship complete.

Mars (your physical energy, initiative, action and how you get what you want) is in Virgo and this influence can be expressed by helping people who are handicapped or have health problems. This is one of the areas in which Diana excelled. However, there is also the possibility of nervous tension and being hypercritical or even scheming to get your own way.

Jupiter (your belief system, expansion and also representing the world of publishing) is in Aquarius in the 2nd house and this also gives tolerance and a need to help other people. For Diana the ability to help other people was something she valued very highly.

Saturn (your limitations, lessons to be learned, the key to your career, professional performance and your father) is in Capricorn in the 1st house indicating the strong influence of her father in her early years. This position of Saturn also made her shy and reserved until she found her natural ability to help others in a huge way (Saturn conjunct Jupiter).

Uranus (your power to invent the new, desire for change, originality and unpredictable behaviour) is in Leo in the 8th house showing how Diana reinvented herself when she married into the royal family (Leo is connected with royalty).

Neptune (the collapse of your boundaries, mysterious behaviour, elusiveness and dreams) is in Scorpio in the10th house showing how Diana grasped the imagination of the public, but in a way that she controlled .

Pluto (your hidden issues, compulsion and dark side) can represent areas underground and in the 8th house of death (as in the chart of Hitler who died in an underground bunker) this could show where Diana died.

Midheaven (your career, aspirations, public face and what you become) is in Libra representing Diana’s ability for diplomacy, fashion, music and dancing.
