Primary – Agate
I have chosen agate as the primary gemstone for Gemini to encourage positive expression of the Gemini characteristics. Agate stimulates concentration and helps with precision and analytical ability. It is good for those working with computers or finance and provides balanced thought processes. Banded agate is particularly appropriate for Gemini as it reflects their dual personality in its layered effect. Agate gives good protection from stress and energy drains as well as helping to combat bad dreams. Gemini can be prone to stress due to having an excess of nervous energy and high mental ability. Agate promotes optimism, self confidence, good luck, persuasiveness, agreeability, spiritual growth and truthfulness. It is also said to enhance psychic abilities and the ancients believed agate could make the wearer invisible.
Secondary – Yellow Jasper
Yellow jasper promotes imagination, willpower and positive energy. It reduces stress and conflicts which is good for the sometimes over-active Gemini. Yellow jasper gives the courage to speak out and encourages personal independence. It also gives protection during travel and provides general stability. Yellow is the colour associated with intellect and this is another reason I have chosen this gemstone for Gemini with their active minds. Yellow jasper gives a slow release of energy which can be very calming for Gemini.
Opposite – Sodalite
Sodalite encourages truthfulness and open communication but with thought for the recipient’s reaction. This can be important for Gemini as they can be prone to making up stories which could lead to lying. Sodalite provides energy, insight, intuition, idealism, and promotes logical thought and mental clarity. It calms an overactive mind and brings inner peace. Gemini is very susceptible to stress through too much mental analysis, so sodalite is very helpful at combating this. Sodalite is also said to provide psychic protection and as it stimulates endurance, it is the stone of athletes. This is the primary gemstone for Sagittarius.
